What a wonderful year was 2008!

The best, of course, was Rand and Miriam’s wedding. We loved helping them with the preparations and the event itself was spectacular. It demonstrated Mir’s flair and style and Rand’s sense of fun and excitement. What a delight! Eric and Brooke Langstein were the photographers and you can see a slide show of the event here. In May our cousins Joelle, Mark, and Grace returned from England; some of the Langen family got together at their new house in Wilmington to welcome them back and we have had wonderful get togethers since.

Scott taught two courses at the UPenn Ed School in the fall and had interesting trips to Malaysia, Vietnam, Croatia, and Mexico and Nan got to go along to Croatia for a week of cycling and sight-seeing. See her story of the trip here.

On September 27 and 28, we participated in the MS 150 bike ride to raise money for curing MS. Nan’s story of that experience is here and we invite you to visit our fundraising pages for the MS 150 ride in October 2009 here and here.

We were very pleased with the results of the presidential election and are hopeful for the future of the United States as this juncture in history.
